Getting Started with Databricks Free Edition

Opening data bricks can feel like you were just given the keys to the cockpit of an airplane. There is so much technology that is packed into this platform that it can be hard to know where to even start. Whether it be with data pipelines, with Spark or Delta Live cable, or data stores like. Production data with Lake Base or Delta Table or Iceberg if you're doing more of a lake house architecture, as well as AI agents with things like Genie and things like agent bricks. So, in this 20-minute video, we are going to be going over the high-level components that you need to know to be successful in this six-hour boot camp. So, the pieces that you need, one is you need to be able to move data with Spark and create data tables. At the end of this intro video, you will have a script that does that. 2, you need to be able to stand up your own postsgress instances with Lake Base. At the end of this video, you will Have a production database ready to roll. And 3, you need to be able to work with Jeannie and ask Jeannie analytical questions.
